The Marina Bay Sands hotel is an iconic part of Singapore’s skyline. Constructed in 2010, and with room prices starting at £587 a night (not including breakfast), this exclusive hotel stands regally on the south side of Singapore’s marina attracting curious tourists at all times of the day and night.
As one of Singapore’s highlights, many people will want to know where to get the best views of Marina Bay Sands. Read on for three different spots to get great snaps of this unique building.
1. Waterfront Promenade
The easiest place to get one of the best views of Marina Bay Sands is from the Waterfront Promenade on the marina’s north side.
Standing towards the Jubilee Bridge end of the Waterfront Promenade, you can see the full vista of the Marina Bay Sands, with the lotus-shaped ArtScience Museum and the Shoppes in the foreground.
You’ll have the best views of Marina Bay Sands from the Waterfront Promenade if you go at night. Its windows will be illuminated in soft yellow, and its boat-like roof in all colours on rotation, perfectly reflected in the marina.

2. Marina Bay Overpass
The Marina Bay Overpass is a boardwalk at the back of the Marina Bay Sands. It’s accessible through The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands (a shopping mall). This is where you can get the best views of Marina Bay Sands right up close.
This is an awe-inspiring experience. Being right up close to the Marina Bay Sands hotel makes you realise just how enormous it is! At night, everything is illuminated by coloured lights, making it all look even more magical.
The Marina Bay Overpass continues through to the Gardens by the Bay. From there, you can see the Marina Bay Sands hotel framed by the iconic Supertrees. Here you can get a good shot of the two landmarks in a single photo.
To get to the Marina Bay Overpass, you actually walk through the Marina Bay Sands hotel. This gives you a chance to have a sneaky look at the enormous reception hall spanning the length of the building and housing multiple restaurants and designer shops. How the other half live!

3. SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands
SkyPark is the viewing deck at the very top of Marina Bay Sands. So you’re not technically getting the best views of Marina Bay Sands from SkyPark, but you will get probably the best view in all of Singapore.
On one side you can see more skyscrapers clustered together than you will ever have seen before. On the other side, you can see across the Singapore Strait to Indonesia. If you visit SkyPark during the evening, you’ll see the landscape light up as it gets dark.
You’ll need to book your trip to SkyPark in advance. It’s a popular experience (and completely worth it in my opinion) and it gets booked up, so you’re unlikely to be able to get tickets on the door.
